It’s fast and exciting, looks forward to a
future that is kind to the environment and something that the next generation
can look forward to. The future is here and today we will review India’s
homegrown hero to battle the Chinese and Korean invasion, the Tata Nexon EV
Ziptron
The car packs a 3 phase permanent magnet
electric motor with a 30.2 kWh Li-ion polymer liquid-cooled battery pack that
is IP67 rated. The car produces 245 Nm of torque and 129 PS of power with a
0-100 km/ph time of 9.9 seconds. This makes the car a whole 5 seconds faster
than the diesel variant. These 5 seconds, however, don’t justify the instant
torque rush that you get from the car and lets you put down the hammer. There
is no turbo lag and no wait to build up the revs in the engine which makes the
life simple in electric.
The car is way more fun than it’s other 2
siblings that are IC powered, and also does its bit for the environment by
reducing those tailpipe emissions. Its 215/60 R16 tyres kiss the tarmac with
all its might when the power instantly gets to those front wheels. To control
the bulldog under the hood, there is a drive mode which limits the torque
output to control the mischief you can do with it. The car comes without a
gearbox (obviously) and is replaced by a rotary dial that shifts between
Reverse, Neutral, Drive, and Sports mode.
The car doesn’t look all that different from
inside or outside. The car dashboard has a shade of blue that surround the
aircon vents and instrumentation and as well as where the gearbox stick was
situated. It comes with automatic projector headlamps, automatic climate
control, sunroof, leatherette seats, 7-inch infotainment screen, Android Auto,
Apple CarPlay, automatic wipers, zconnect connected car app, dual airbags, ABS
with EBD, cornering foglamps,
